Arsene Wenger will manage again once he leaves
Arsenal - and he could come back and haunt the Gunners. That is the opinion of Arsenal hero turned
pundit Paul Merson. Wenger is under huge pressure to leave the
Emirates this summer after yet another season of disappointment. Arsenal are sixth in the Premier League table,
have lost their last five away games, and see their only chance of qualifying for the
Champions League next season by winning the Europa League.
Wenger has always seen him at his club, so
the club may have to remove him from duty a year before his current deal expires. Merson believes it is time Wenger left Arsenal
but reckons he could have more success elsewhere. "I think he'll be manager somewhere else,"
Merson told talkSPORT. "He'll get a job in two minutes when he leaves
Arsenal, he'll want to manage again.
"I look at Arsene Wenger and football is his
life. He will manage again. "That is the problem for Arsenal; when he
does, he could come and haunt them. "Wherever he goes he can go and do something
special like he did at Arsenal.".
