North Korea fears as ARMY deployed to protect Winter Olympics - DAILY NEWS

North Korea fears as ARMY deployed to protect
Winter Olympics SOLDIERS have been drafted in to protect the
Winter Olympics after a viral outbreak has hit 1,200 security guards amid fears from
North Korea. Kim Jong-un appears to be cooperating over
the games  sending his own Olympic team and a host of artists, musicians and dancers
from North Korea. No chances are being taken however as South
Korea steps up security, with weeks of counter-terror drills leading up to the games in Pyeongchang. At least 900 soldiers have now been enlisted
to plug holes in the Winter Olympics security after a shock outbreak of norovirus amongst
the security staff.

The move comes after 1,200 personnel were
ordered to be confined to their rooms after 41 guards suffering diarrhoea and vomiting. And officials have so far been unable to determine
the source of the infection. Winter Olympics festivities kick-off this
Friday with the opening ceremony, in which the North and South will march as a united
Korea. Norovirus is considered highly contagious
and typically includes symptoms of diarrhoea, stomach pain, vomiting and nausea.

The Korean Centre for Disease Control and
Prevention have begun a survey of the Horeb Youth Centre  where the outbreak started. South Korean soldiers will now patrol across
20 venues to ensure the games are protected from any threats, including any foul play
by North Korea. Senior officials from the International Olympics
Committee (IOC) have assured the games will go ahead and the outbreak will be contained. The games is being held under the nuclear
shadow of North Korea following almost a year of violent war talk from both Kim and the
US.

Pyongyang assured peace when they sent a delegation
to the South for talks in January  but Kim refused to give up their ICBMs. Christophe Dubi, the Olympic Games executive
director for the IOC, said: "We don't know exactly what the source was. "But, when it comes to the food and beverage
the whole chain of securing the quality of food, they are definitely respecting all international
standards." He added: "They're really making the ultimate
possible effort to make sure that everybody is aware. North Korea is sending a team of just 22 athletes
to the Winter Olympics, competing in skiing, figure skating and hockey.

Its womens hockey team will also compete
jointly with the team from the South in a show of unity not seen since 1991. Daily Star Online revealed Kim Jong-un's secret
past as a weightlifter which helped fuel his obsession for a sport-mad North Korea..

North Korea BOMBSHELL USA and North Korea hold SECRET TALKS - DAILY NEWS

North Korea BOMBSHELL: USA and North Korea
hold SECRET TALKS. NORTH KOREA officials have been holding secret,
direct talks with members of the American intelligence services in advance of President
Donald Trump's meeting with dictator Kim Jong Un, it has been revealed. North Korea fuelled fears of an escalation
to World War 3 with a series of successful ballistic missile tests last year. Despot Kim Jong-Un has repeatedly threatened
to attack the USA and its allies South Korea and Japan.

But a long-anticipated meeting between US
President Donald Trump and the North Korean leader to defuse the increasingly tense stand-off
is a step closer to reality after CNN revealed that CIA officials had spoken over the phone
to their North Korean counterparts, and even held face-to-face meetings in a third country. Negotiations are reportedly being led by Mike
Pompeo, the head of the CIA, who will meet with his North Korean counterpart before Trump
and Kims head-to-head. Sources told CNN North Korea was pushing to
hold the meeting in Pyongyang, the countrys capital, although it is unlikely that the
White House would agree to such terms. They added that Ulaanbaatar, the capital of
Mongolia, had emerged as a possible alternative.

The North Korean regime has not publicly declared
Kim Jong Uns invitation to meet with Trump, but several officials now say it has acknowledged
Trumps acceptance. Pyongyang has reaffirmed Kims willingness
to meet with Trump to discuss the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula. Mr Trump has remained coy on the details of
his summit with Kim, but said in March: "We're moving along very nicely with North Korea. We'll see what happens.

Certainly the rhetoric has calmed down just
a little bit. However, experts have warned that talking
with Kim could do more harm than good. Robert A. Manning, resident senior fellow
at the Atlantic Council, described Americas plans for denuclearisation as absurd.

He added: With no Secretary of State in
place, a gutted State Department, and Boltons housecleaning at the NSC, Trump does have
something of a deficit in Korean expertise and experience. The news comes days after it the British Ministry
of Defence published its report on the risks posed by North Korea, suggesting the rogue
regime could be ready to strike the UK in a matter of months. Defence Minister Earl Howe said: "Our judgement
is that its probably six to 18 months before they will have an ICBM capability capable
of reaching the coast of the United States or indeed ourselves.".

Newcastle United vs Arsenal - prediction - team newsNews Now#AFC

Europa League semi-finalists Arsenal will
be hoping to make it four Premier League wins on the spin when they travel to Newcastle
United on Sunday afternoon. The Gunners nearly slipped to an embarrassing
loss at CSKA Moscow on Thursday, but late goals from Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck
earned them a 2-2 draw which secured a comfortable 6-3 aggregate victory. Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, cup tied in Europe,
has provided Arsenal's league campaign with some fresh impetus, scoring five goals in
four starts. The January signing from Borussia Dortmund
is already up to six league goals, which makes him four short of Arsenal's top scorer for
the top-flight campaign - Alexandre Lacazette.

Welbeck is also in a rich vein of form with
five goals in as many matches and will certainly be on Southgate's radar, but Jack Wilshere's
latest injury might raise more doubts over his place on the plane to Russia this summer. The Gunners' total of three away league wins
all season is less than Watford, Newcastle and Burnley, and the Clarets could climb above
Arsenal into sixth this week if Arsene Wenger's side suffer more misery on their travels. Wenger is likely to rotate again but may not
make as many changes as he did for the 3-2 win over Southampton as the first leg against
Atletico is not until April 26. Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey are both carrying
niggles so Mohamed Elneny may start, having had his red card against the Saints overturned.

Granit Xhaka may also be recalled after missing
the trip to Moscow through illness. Predicted scores: Newcastle 1-1 Arsenal This might be the opportune moment for Newcastle
to end their losing streak against the Gunners, who could suffer from a Europa League hangover
after a trip to Russia and back. They have been flimsy on the road anyway,
without the excuse of extra miles in their legs..

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez backed to replace Arsene Wenger at ArsenalNews Now#AFC

Rafael Benitez would be the perfect manager
for Arsenal. Thats according to former Liverpool midfielder
Danny Murphy. Arsene Wenger is under pressure at the Emirates
following a miserable season and fan resentment is at an all-time high. The Frenchman could leave the club this summer
and Gunners chiefs are reportedly exploring options to replace him.

Benitez is among the names being touted as
a potential successor and the speculation increased after he led Newcastle to an impressive
2-1 win over Arsenal yesterday. The Spaniard has already managed a number
of high-profile European clubs, including Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter
Milan. And Murphy, who worked with Benitez briefly
at Anfield, believes the 57-year-old is more than capable of turning Arsenals fortunes
around. He [Benitez] is exactly what Arsenal need,
he told talkSPORT.

I heard Paul Merson saying Arsenal fans
want a certain style of play and want to see a team play expansive football but they do
that now and they get murdered. I only worked with him [Benitez] briefly,
but he was bang on it. He was all about: This is what were
going to do and this is how were going to do it. You know exactly what youre doing.

He is a calm manager but hes very assertive. You wouldnt want to cross him, hes
got a real ruthlessness about him. Arsenal return to action on Sunday as they
welcome West Ham to the Emirates..

Missiles FIRED in Syria as air defences scrambled to airstrike - DAILY NEWS

Missiles FIRED in Syria as air defences scrambled
to airstrike A MISSILE attack has been launched at a key
Syrian airbase, according to reports. Syrian authorities confirmed an attack had
been carried out on Shayrat airbase near the city of Homs, north of the capital Damascus. It comes after fighter jets were seen flying
over the two cities on Monday night. Missile defence teams responded to the strike
and shot down the explosives, according to reports.

When asked about the missile attack, an Israeli
military spokesman said, "We don't comment on such reports". The Pentagon later denied it had ordered the
strike. A spokesman said: There is no US military
activity in that area at this time. It is not known who launched the airstrike
at this time.

Western powers took military action against
Syrian tyrant Bashar al-Assad after he allegedly ordered a chemical weapons attack on his own
people in Douma. The UK joined US and French forces and launched
a limited targeted attack on Syrian weapons facilities last week. UK Prime Minister Theresa May told the House
of Commons on Monday the bombings were morally and legally right. She later said pressure from US President
Donald Trump had no affect on her decision to go to war.

Mrs May told MPs: We have done it because
we believed it was the right thing to do, and we were not alone..
